Architecture of authorization concepts
Deleting table change logs
Communication users are also intended for use by people who log on to the SAP system from outside via RFC call. Therefore, dialogue is not possible. If the password is set by the administrator, it will be assigned Initial status. However, an RFC call does not prompt the user to change the password. It therefore often retains this status, even if the user has the possibility to change the password by calling a function block (then: Status Productive). The password rules apply to this type of user. However, this is often not noticed in practice, as password rules for initial passwords are less used.
Other project settings should be defined on the Scope, Project Views, Project Employees, Status Values, Keywords, Document Types, Transport Orders, and Cross Reference tabs. After all entries have been made, you must secure the project. Do not forget to generate the project. The SPRO transaction allows you to edit the newly created customising project. The first call does not display the newly created project. To view it, click the Record button in the Work Inventory ( ), select your project, and then confirm your selection. After you have successfully created, generated, or edited the project, you will perform the PFCG transaction to create a customising role for the project. Select a name for the role, and then click Create Single Role. Now open the Menu tab and follow the path: Tools > Customising Permissions > Add > Insert Customising Activities. Then choose between IMG Project and View of an IMG Project. All transaction codes are added from the IMG project to the Role menu. Note that this can be a very large number of transactions and can therefore take longer. You can then use the Permissions tab to express the authorization objects as usual. Back up and generate the role.
Full verification of user group permissions when creating the user
The indirect role assignment uses the evaluation paths PROFLO and PROFLINT for assigning the PFCG roles to the corresponding users. However, these evaluation methods ignore the object CP (central person), which represents the business partner in SAP CRM. In transaction PFUD, which provides for the user comparison, the evaluation paths US_ACTGR and SAP_TAGT are used. Again the object CP is not known.
The organisation of a company is represented in the SAP system. Keep an overview here to identify dependencies and control access permissions in an organisation-specific way. In customising, different organisational values are stored for the individual ERP components to enable an organisational mapping of the root and movement data. This mapping is required, among other things, to control access permissions or constraints. We will show you how you can get an overview of the well-maintained organisational units and see dependencies between the different organisational values.
If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.
Understanding the structure and functioning of the system is especially important for IT administration. It is not for nothing that "SAP Basis Administrator" is a separate professional field. On the page www.sap-corner.de you will find useful information on this topic.
Here the customising is set for scenarios that do not necessarily fit all CRM business roles.
So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? That's what Scribble Papers is great for.
The specifications for this should all be defined in the authorization concept documented in writing and must also be consistent with this.
