As part of the use of a HANA database, you should protect both the execution of HANA database functions as well as the reading or altering access to the data stored in the database by appropriate permission techniques. Essential to the permission technique are database objects such as tables and views - which allow access to the stored data - as well as executable procedures and users. The specific HANA-specific permissions assigned to a user are referred to as privileges in the HANA context.
Standard users such as SAP* or DDIC should also be implemented correctly in accordance with the authorization concept or SAP's recommendations. An important preparatory action here is to check whether the passwords have been changed for all standard users.

If you want to set the table logger check for multiple tables, you should note that the principles for changing Dictionary objects apply, i.e. you will generate increased system loads in running systems. Therefore, you should make both the modification and the transport of the changes outside of business hours. The SAP system only provides customising tables for table logging by default; so you don't have to worry about performance. Tables that serve to customise typically contain relatively little data that is rarely changed. However, you should not turn on table logging for tables that are subject to mass changes, as there may be performance and disk space issues. This applies to tables with root or movement data. After all, if table logging is enabled, a log entry in the DBTABLOG table is generated for each change to the contents of a logged table.
In many distributed organisations, the Profit Centre is used to map out the distributed units. However, this was only possible for FI with additional programming. In integrated data flows in SAP ERP, the sending application usually does not check the authorization objects of the receiving application. Financial Accounting (FI) in SAP does not check permissions for cost centres and profit centres. However, depending on the case of use, this may be necessary, e.g. if distributed entities are to operate as small enterprises within the enterprise and only collect and view data for this particular unit at a time. With the introduction of the new general ledger, SAP has technically merged the financial accounting and the profit centre account, so that the question of the inclusion of profit centre allowances in FIs becomes even more important.
