Audit Information System Cockpit
Finally, we would like to draw your attention to SAP Note 1781328, which provides the report PFCG_ORGFIELD_ROLES_UPD. This report enables a mass update of existing role derivations. However, you do not use the concept of the organisational matrix, but you have to store the new organisational values directly when the report is called. Therefore, this function requires a high degree of understanding for the adjustments that are running in the background and is therefore only available as a pilot note. This means that this message must be explicitly requested via a customer message and only then will SAP support release it for you if necessary. It is not currently planned to make the information generally available via a support package.

Put the values of the permission trace into the role menu: The applications (transactions, web-dynpro applications, RFCBausteine or web services) are detected through their startup permissions checks (S_TCODE, S_START, S_RFC, S_SERVICE) and can be added to the role menu of your role. In your role, go to the Menu tab and import these applications by clicking Apply Menus and selecting Import from Trace. A new window will open. Here you can evaluate the trace and view all recognised applications in the right window. To do this, click the Evaluate Trace button and select System Trace (ST01) > Local. In a new System Trace window, you can specify the evaluation criteria for the trace, such as the user using the Trace field only for users or the time period over which to record. Then click Evaluate. Then, in the right part of the window, you will see all the applications logged. Select the applications you want to apply to the Roles menu and click Apply. You can now decide how the applications appear in the Role menu. The application can be added to the role either as a permission proposal or as a menu item through the Add drop-down box. They can be displayed as a list or as a panel menu (insert as list) or according to the SAP menu tree in which the application is stored in the SAP menu (insert as SAP menu).

The Security Audit Log now logs the table or view name and the scheduled activity of external table access via RFC connections; a new message type has been defined. You can find this fix and an overview of the required support packages in SAP Note 1539105.

Every action of the emergency user must be traceable, which requires the appropriate configuration of logging components such as the Security Audit Log. After the event, all log files are always evaluated and all details are recorded in documentation. It is also possible to specify in the concept that, in the event of an emergency, extended authorization may be granted to other selected users; this is up to the company to decide.

If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.

On www.sap-corner.de you will also find useful information about SAP basis.

Setting the timestamps in the legacy release reduces the effort required to complete step 2a, because only those applications whose SU22 data has been modified are matched.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? Scribble Papers is a "note box" that makes this very easy.
