Preparation of the migration to the SAP HANA database
General
Following the recommendation of dividing the SAP basis into an application-orientated and infrastructure-related SAP basis [A4], Figure 3 shows a possible presentation form. The SAP-Basis interface function is structured into a SAP basis, which is close to the application and is responsible for coordination and communication with vertical and higher IT specialist and business areas, and a SAP basis close to the infrastructure. The infrastructure-related SAP basis in turn serves as the link between the application-orientated SAP basis and the infrastructure levels. Subject Matter Experts will perform the link task again. In the application-orientated SAP basis, in turn, technology architects are more likely to be placed. The innovation activity or innovation team aspect of the SAP basis is placed at the level of the SAP basis, which is close to the application, because the existing capabilities allow it to assume a leading, also coordinating role and acquire expertise both by adding the SAP basis near the infrastructure and the downstream IT departments. You can control the access rights as usual. The big advantage of CMC tab configuration is that you can easily grant or withdraw group access to specific tabs. This gives you the ability to prepare background access permissions and then unlock all permissions by clicking on the CMC tab configuration. On the other hand, this allows you to remove accesses without having to edit any existing permissions. Have you already experienced CMC tab configuration or have questions about the application? I welcome any suggestions you may make as a comment.
Understanding the structure and functioning of the system is especially important for IT administration. It is not for nothing that "SAP Basis Administrator" is a separate professional field. On the page www.sap-corner.de you will find useful information on this topic.
Buffer analysis
QUEUE_STILL_IN_BUFFER: The queue is not fully processed because incomplete support packages of the queue are still in the transport buffer. CANNOT_RESET_FCS_FLAG: If there is an FCS Support Package (FFD) in the queue, the system will be marked as being at the generally available release level after this support package is inserted. In this case, this operation could not be performed successfully.
The Advanced Memory thus contains mainly user contexts of different work processes, if these cannot be loaded completely into the roll area. Since the storage area is accessible for all work processes, the work processes can also access external user contexts that lie here. In addition, the Advanced Memory contains a global area where data can be stored independently of user contexts. The extended memory size is determined by the values of em/initial_size_MB and em/global_area_MB. The first parameter determines the size of the storage area in which user contexts can be stored, and the second determines the size of the global area. Parameters for Private Storage Last but not least, there is the private storage, which is only used when the user context of a work process has used up all the other storage areas available to it, i.e. its share of the extended memory and its rolling area. In this case, the workprocess goes into PRIV mode. A workprocess in private mode is bound to its current user context and will not become free for other tasks until the current request is completed. If it has used up all the private memory allocated to it, the workprocess will then be restarted and the memory released. This behaviour is controlled with the abap/heaplimit parameter. At times, the user context may exceed the value of abap/heaplimit. The parameters abap/heap_area_total, abap/heap_area_dia and abap/heap_area_nondia define an upper limit for private storage. The abap/heap_area_total parameter defines how much private storage all workprocesses can use in total. The parameters abap/heap_area_dia and abap/heap_area_nondia, on the other hand, determine how much private storage a single (non-)dialogue workprocess can use.
The "Shortcut for SAP Systems" tool is ideal for doing many tasks in the SAP basis more easily and quickly.
Prerequisites to use digitally signed SAP hints To prepare your SAP system for digitally signed clues, you first have to meet some requirements: Digital signed SAP hints are provided as SAR files.
To store all the information on the subject of SAP - and others - in a knowledge database, Scribble Papers is suitable.
The transactions are stored in blocks of the chain.
