A degree in computer science is usually a prerequisite and is now almost compulsory. Those who have been trained as IT specialists can take advantage of further training to become SAP Basis Administrators and thus position themselves particularly well on the job market. However, quite a few companies also offer to train employees to make them fit to work as SAP Basis Administrators.
The operator is now responsible for ensuring smooth and safe operation in the SAP environment. It has a basic understanding of the infrastructure and is well connected within the IT departments. For his daily work he uses suitable tools (e.g. monitoring tools), in which he is trained and trained. In the future, the focus will be on reactive activities such as monitoring systems and processing notifications. Individual developments
If you look at everything I've described up front in its entirety, it quickly becomes clear which direction things are headed: the SAP basis will increasingly move toward an SRE-centric environment over the next decade. This is what the future of SAP looks like, and I look forward to an exciting journey.
Technical developments are progressing at high speed. Thus, the term "blockchain" is not unique to digital currencies. In order to better assess the potential and impact of blockchain technology, various companies from different technologies and, in particular, financial sectors have joined forces in consortia in recent years: The R3 Consortium, which is primarily a consortium of about 80 financial sector companies (UBS, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, ...). The IoT Consortium, which includes Bosch Ltd, Cisco Systems Inc, is investigating how blockchain technology can be used to secure and improve IoT networks. More than 120 financial, banking, IoT and industrial companies have joined the Hyperledger (Enterprise Ethereum Alliance) consortium.
