Security Automation for HR Authorizations
If you only want to translate the description of the role, it is recommended to record the PFCG transaction and to change the source language of the role using the Z_ROLE_SET_MASTERLANG report before the LSMW script runs through. The report on how to change the source language can be found in SAP Note 854311. Similarly, you can use the SECATT (Extended Computer Aided Test Tool, eCATT) transaction to perform the translation instead of the LSMW transaction. Furthermore, automation is possible with the help of a customer-specific ABAP programme. To do this, you should take a closer look at the AGR_TEXTS table. The table contains the different text blocks in different languages. Here we show you a section of the table with our example role Z_SE63. Short texts are assigned a value of 00000 in the column LINE, and long texts are assigned a value of 00001 to 0000x. The language keys are displayed in the SPRAS column. An ABAP programme now allows you to write the counterparts for the text fields in the target language into the fields in the tables.

This solution is only available via a support package starting with SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 731 and requires a kernel patch. For details on the relevant support packages, see SAP Note 1891583. In principle, user login to the application server can then be restricted by setting the new login/server_logon_restriction profile parameter.
Organisational allocation
First of all, represent your organisation. Map the business processes (if necessary only at the generic level of applications such as MM or CO) across the organisation. On this basis, determine which organisational characteristics (organisational levels, but also cost centres, organisational units, etc.) represent which parts of the organisation. Define (if necessary, only in detail in accounting, otherwise at the level of applications) which functions must necessarily remain separate. If you have a running system, evaluate the use of the last 13 months (see Tip 26, "Use usage data for role definition"). Set up a new system and make sure that processes are always documented to the level of transactions. In such a case, it is also best to collect the business risks directly in the process description.

There may be other objects associated with the site that you can also assign a PFCG role to. As in our organisation chart, you can assign three different PFCG rolls to the user. You can assign the PFCG roles to either the organisational unit, the post or the post. In this hierarchy, you assign the user as the person of the post. The user is assigned to the person as an attribute and therefore not visible in the organisational model. An HR structure could be mapped via this hierarchy. Since the PFCG roles are not directly assigned to the user but to the objects in the Organisation Management and the user is assigned to the PFCG roles only because of his association with these objects, we speak of an indirect assignment.

If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.

SAP Basis refers to the administration of SAP system that includes activities like installation and configuration, load balancing, and performance of SAP applications running on Java stack and SAP ABAP. This includes the maintenance of different services related to database, operating system, application and web servers in SAP system landscape and stopping and starting the system. Here you can find some useful information about SAP Basis: www.sap-corner.de.

Add the suggestion values for each displayed authorization object.

The freeware Scribble Papers puts an end to the confusing paper chaos. The tool is also suitable for storing, structuring and quickly finding text documents and text snippets of all kinds in addition to notes.

For table logging, it must be ensured that SAP® Note 112388 (tables requiring logging) is fully implemented and that all tables containing financially relevant data are also included in the logging.
