FAQ
To use the trace data from the USOB_AUTHVALTRC table, first go to the change mode and then either click the SAP Data button or select Object > Add Objects from Trace > Local. The found authorization objects are imported from the table, but are not yet marked with any suggestion values. To maintain the suggestion values, click the Trace button. In the window that opens, select one of the new authorization objects and then select Trace > Permissions Trace > Local. The checked permission values will now be displayed. To apply these values, select Y Yes in the Suggest Status combo box and select the values you wish to display in the right pane of the window. Then click Apply. After confirming your entries, you confirm the Permissions field maintenance in the Permissions proposal maintenance by clicking on the green checkmark, so that the status of the Permissions object is green (maintained). Also continue with other authorization objects.

You can't keep an eye on everything. Therefore, avoid that your colleagues do not assign users to a user group, and thus ensure that the user master data maintenance permissions check is correct. You do not want a user without a user group to be able to be created in your SAP systems? Users without a user group can be changed by all administrators with permission for any user group. You should also prevent incomplete permission checks when assigning roles and profiles to users without a permission group. Because it is possible to assign roles and permissions to a user first, and then assign a user group that does not have permission to assign roles and profiles. Finally, do you want to change the user group for an existing user without having permission for the new user group? In the following section we will show you how to secure your user master data maintenance.

Transaction SE63 allows you to translate a variety of text in the SAP system. You can find the texts relevant to the permission roles by going to the Translation > ABAP Objects > Short Texts menu. In the Object Type Selection pop-up window that appears, select the S3 ABAP Texts node and select the ACGR Roles sub-point. You can now select the role in the following screen. You must note that the system expects the client to be prefixed, and the next step allows you to maintain the chunk in the target language. The variable AGR_TEXTS 00002 corresponds to the description of the role and the variable AGR_HIERT_TEXT 00001 corresponds to the description of the transactions contained therein. After you have saved the entry, the description of the role is also maintained in the target language, in our example in the English language and visible after the login. Select the source language correctly in the field.

You have already created roles for SAP CRM and would like to add additional external services? Nothing easier than that! Create PFCG roles for the SAP CRM Web Client, typically so that you complete the customising of the CRM business role before creating the PFCG role, based on this customising. However, the customising of the CRM business role may be updated. The PFCG role must now also be adjusted, otherwise the newly configured area start pages or the logical links will not be visible. However, there is no automatism for this, as it exists during the initial creation of the role menu. You must apply the adjustment manually in the PFCG role.

The possibility of assigning authorizations during the go-live can be additionally secured by using "Shortcut for SAP systems".

The website www.sap-corner.de offers many useful information about SAP basis.

A user is displayed in the results list if one of the two transactions with the corresponding expression is included in its corresponding permission profile.

So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? Scribble Papers is a "note box" that makes this very easy.

Here you can view and customise suggestion values for all types of applications, such as SAP GUI transactions, RFC building blocks, or Web Dynpro applications.
